John Scott Evans is acknowledged by many to be one of the finest fingerstyle guitarists in the country and is quickly becoming recognized as one of the rising stars of the guitar community. His artistry blends fingerstyle technique with a multitude of musical ingredients ranging from pop to flamenco and from jazz to gospel. JSE's unique touch on his instrument brings new life to the music world. His musical compositions speak to the heart and inspire the soul.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, JSE was first introduced to the guitar by his father. Among the variety of music schools attended includes the prestigious Berklee College of Music. JSE has traveled the world as a solo recording artist & guitar clinician and his performances have shared the bill with notable artists around the globe, including the legendary Chet Atkins. His session playing can be heard on countless artists’ recordings tracked at studios from Atlanta to Nashville to Los Angeles. Television credits include performances on major and local networks along with million viewer live TV broadcasts (CBS & Others) and live DVD projects .
JSE has released three timeless instrumental CD’s. Their success has been noted across the globe from the U.S. to Japan. John's third and latest album release, "Above The Sun", is a groundbreaking collection of original fingerstyle instrumentals and cover arrangements of Stevie Wonder’s “Overjoyed” and Christopher Cross’ “Sailing”.
